Easy Custom Client Holiday Cookies!

Custom gingerbread Christmas cookies are an easy, fun, and delicious treat to gift your clients, friends, or family this holiday season! This gingerbread cookie recipe was super easy to make and is perfect for beginners. Plus, I reached a personal goal this year of getting to bake with molasses. I know, a bit weird, haha.

Baking gingerbread cookies is a creative and fun way to get into the holiday spirit! These cookies are easy to make ahead of time, and the chilled dough can stay refrigerated overnight if you want to bake them the next day.

Hard supplies you’ll need:

  • cookie cutters (there are so many fun cookie cutter shapes especially on Amazon)
  • cookie sheet
  • rolling pin to roll out the chilled dough
  • medium bowl or large bowl
  • squeeze bottles for the simple icing
  • wire rack
  • electric mixer
  • plastic wrap to wrap up the gingerbread cookie dough before putting it in the fridge

 

Top three tips when baking these custom gingerbread cookies:

 

  1. Refrigerate the dough for at least 2-3 hours. You can roll out the cooled dough and cut the gingerbread shapes from the chilled dough.

 

It does add to your prep time, but it’s definitely worth it so that the cookies hold their shape. I initially thought I could skip this step, but I’m happy I didn’t because my cookies stayed true to their shape. A huge surprise and relief!

 

2. Use a silicone baking mat or disposable silicone parchment paper so that your cookies hold their desired shape.

 

3. Allow your cookies to cool completely before icing them. Similarly, allow cookies with icing to fully dry before placing them in clear bags to gift. That way, your beautiful designs will stay looking great!

The best part is that these cookies need less than 8 minutes in the oven, so you won’t be impatiently staring at the oven waiting for your cookies to be done. Or is that just me?

This easy and delicious gingerbread cookie recipe is from Sally’s Baking Addiction. Her recipe is straightforward to follow, and she has a step-by-step video tutorial as well. She also has a delicious royal icing recipe that uses meringue powder instead of raw egg whites.

 

In total, this recipe makes approximately 30 cookies, but I may have eaten a couple few before I counted them.

 

These gingerbread cookies are a gift that your clients, friends, and family will love! If you’re looking to make them more personalized, you can easily change the icing, gift tags, and ribbon to incorporate your brand colours.
